Trento to Nuremberg May 13, 2005

This morning, Jack's birthday, we all sang Happy Birthday to Jack. We took a walk around Mario's village and enjoyed the beautiful sights and people. Once again it was time to say good-bye to some good friends and head north to Nuremberg.

The train ride was nice but it was running late and we were worried that we would miss our connection in Munich for Nuremberg. But until then we just enjoyed the ride and the beauty of the mountains. Brenner Pass and Innsbruck were on the route.

When we got to Munich we had 2 minutes, if that, to catch our train to Nuremberg. Naturally, what would you expect when you are late...you come in one end of the train station and your next train is on the complete other side from where you are. Colette started running first and shortly Jack followed. Lucky we did as when we turned down the Binario (track) for the Nuremberg train and jumped in the first car we saw the doors closed and the train started to move. Off to Nuremberg!

We did arrive okay and after a taxi ride to the "Old Town" of Nurmeberg and our hotel, Agneshof Hotel, we enjoyed a nice evening. Jack had a pleasant surprise at the hotel as he found a bottle of wine for his birthday, compliments of Colette who had arranged it weeks before. What a great birthday, Italy, Austria, Germany and a beautiful wife and friend!
